Khatte Meethae Sabudana Khichadi / TAPIOCA PORRIDGE


• 2 cup soaked and washed sabudana
• 1/2 cup roasted crushed peeled peanuts ( adjust according to your taste or can be skipped)
• 1 Tbsp lemon juice
• 1 Tbsp sugar
• 1 Tbsp oil
• 2 Green chillies chopped
• 2-4 curry leafs
• 1/4 Tsp pepper powder
• Salt as per your taste
• 1/2 Cup chopped potatoes
• Few Coriander leaves( dhaniya) or mint leaf for garnishing


Add oil in kadai. Once oil get heated add ( peanuts if you don’t have roasted one just roast it and take it out and then crush it. You also can add chopped potatoes here. I have skipped it . Once potatoes are cooked add ) curry leaf and chillies then add soaked sabudana . To it add salt , lemon, sugar, pepper, crushed peanuts and give a good stir and switch of the flame after 1 minute. Sprinkle chopped dhaniya ( Coriander) or mint leaf and serve hot.

Note : Sabudana must be washed clearly under running water twice or thrice so that powder of sabudana gets removed. Soak it for 2-3 hours and drain excess water . After that You can use it after 2 hours. See that no water is left behind just drain all water.You can replace salt with saendha namak or black salt ( kala namak) if you are on fast. Pepper could be avoided if you don’t wish to have spicy.
